- 1 (12-14 lb) whole turkey
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 6 cups bread cubes (for stuffing)
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 5 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 lbs green beans, trimmed
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 1 can (14 oz) cranberry sauce
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 can (21 oz) pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Pat the turkey dry and rub with softened butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
- Place turkey in a roasting pan and cook for about 3-4 hours, basting occasionally.
- For stuffing, sauté celery and onion in butter, mix with bread cubes and broth, then bake for 30 minutes.
- Boil potatoes until tender, mash with milk and butter, and season to taste.
- Steam green beans and toss with toasted almonds.
- Whisk pumpkin puree with sugar, spices, eggs, and evaporated milk, pour into pie crust, and bake for 45 minutes.
- Let turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
